H.O.G.® Clearwater Chapter #7639 respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and your rights.

What We Collect

Depending on which forms you use on this site, we may collect:

Name, email and phone number (Membership, Sponsorship and Contact forms)
Harley-Davidson® bike details and existing H.O.G.® membership number (Membership form)
Emergency contact details (Membership form)
Cell number and a captured signature image (Ride Register & Indemnity form, completed before each outing)
Business and payment contact details (Sponsorship applications)
Account email (Member Login, once enabled)

Why We Collect It

To process membership applications and maintain chapter records
To administer outings, including the indemnity waiver required for participation
To process sponsorship applications and payments
To respond to enquiries submitted via the Contact form
To give members access to a private members area

Who We Share It With

Data submitted through this site is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider). Payments, once online payments are enabled, will be processed by PayFast — we do not store your card details ourselves. We do not sell or share your information with any other third party.

Your Rights

Under POPIA, you can ask us what information we hold about you, request a correction, or request that it be deleted. To do this, use the Contact form or reach out to the chapter committee directly.

Photographs

Photos and video taken at chapter outings may be used on this website, our social media and related chapter materials, as described in the Ride Register & Indemnity form signed before each outing.

Cookies

This site uses only the minimum technical storage needed for you to stay logged in to the members area (via Supabase Auth). We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
